The Art of Ordering Coffee

A Taste for Every Palate

The first step in ordering a coffee is deciding which type to choose. The barista at Café Bonito welcomes the customer and poses the question: “¿Qué vas a llevar?” (What will you have?). The customer, unsure of what to order, seeks the barista’s recommendation: “¿Cuál café me recomiendas?” (Which coffee would you recommend?).

Hot or Cold?

To narrow down the options, the barista asks about the customer’s preference for hot or cold coffee. The customer explains that they don’t enjoy frappes and prefer their coffee hot: “No me gustan los frappes, a mí me gusta que el café esté caliente.”

Finding the Perfect Balance

The barista then inquires about the customer’s taste preferences. Do they prefer their coffee sweet and smooth or strong? The customer reveals their fondness for a sweet cup of coffee: “No me gusta el café fuerte, hace que me duela el estómago. Me gusta el café con leche y me gusta que sea dulce.”
