If you’ve been on the road lately, chances are you’ve come across a Dutch Bros – those blue drive-thru coffee shops that seem to be popping up everywhere in Utah. When the Provo location was under construction in 2020, I couldn’t help but wonder what this iconic Pacific Northwest coffee shop was doing here. It seemed a bit out of place next to all the popular soda shops. But now, Dutch Bros is thriving in Utah with nine additional locations. So, what exactly does this coffee shop have to offer to all those soda-obsessed Utahns?
Does Dutch Bros Have Noncoffee Drinks?
Yes! Dutch Bros’ wide selection of noncoffee drinks is what sets it apart from other coffee shops. With dozens of options for flavor and drink style, their menu caters to people who don’t drink coffee. Moreover, they even offer caffeine-free drinks like smoothies, hot chocolate, and signature lemonades.
It’s worth noting that while Dutch Bros does offer a decaf Ceylon tea option, decaf teas still contain small amounts of caffeine (typically around 2-3mg). In comparison, a 12-ounce can of Diet Coke contains 46mg of caffeine. So, if you’re looking for a completely caffeine-free option, you might want to explore their other delicious choices.

6 Noncoffee Drinks from Dutch Bros
1. Dutch Rebel
The Dutch Rebel drink combines a Rebel energy drink (similar to Red Bull) with any available flavor of your choice. You can have it iced, blended, or double blended. Personally, I find a blended Dutch Rebel to be reminiscent of a 7-Eleven Slurpee, but with even more flavor options and the added benefit of caffeine. To take it up a notch, try it with a soft top for an extra $0.25 – it’s worth every penny.
Flavors to try: Double Rainbro, Laser Cat, the Dragon Slayer.
2. Dutch Frost
The Dutch Frost is Dutch Bros’ take on a classic milkshake. It’s more like a dessert than any other option on the menu, but who says you can’t treat yourself anytime? Made with a blend of ice cream, syrups, and sauces of your choice, the Dutch Frost delivers the perfect smooth and creamy indulgence – topped with whipped cream, of course.
Flavors to try: Snickerdoodle, Cotton Candy, Dutch Canyon.
3. Frozen Lemonade
Dutch Bros’ lemonade strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tangy, making it incredibly refreshing. You can order any lemonade on ice, but if you want to elevate your drink, go for the blended version. You’ll get a frozen lemonade with a texture akin to a Frappuccino. For those watching their sugar intake, you can also request your lemonade with sugar-free syrups.
Flavors to try: Tiger’s Blood, Strawberry Pineapple, Palm Beach.
4. Dutch Soda
Similar to an Italian soda, the Dutch soda combines sparkling soda water with your choice of flavors. This bubbly drink can be made completely sugar-free and caffeine-free if you prefer a slightly healthier option. If you’re a fan of creaminess in your drinks, don’t forget to add soft top, a popular creamy element found in Italian sodas.
Flavors to try: Sweet Sunrise, Gummy Bear, Eclipse.
5. Dutch Cocoa
When winter rolls around, nothing beats a cup of Dutch Bros’ hot chocolate. They simply steam their ultra-creamy chocolate milk and top it with whipped cream. You can further personalize it by adding your favorite flavor. My personal favorite is the Double Chocolate – it’s got extra chocolate sauce for an extra rich and indulgent experience.
Flavors to try: Double Chocolate, White Chocolate, Caramel.
6. Smoothie
Looking for a healthier option? Dutch Bros’ fruit smoothie is just what you need. Made with real fruit and blended to perfection, it’s a great way to start your day and keep you feeling satisfied. And if you’re craving something a bit sweeter, top it off with some whipped cream.
Flavors to try: Mango, Strawberry, Peach.
So, the next time you find yourself at a Dutch Bros, don’t worry if you’re not a fan of coffee. They have a whole range of delicious noncoffee drinks that will satisfy your taste buds. Enjoy your drink adventure at Marmalade Cafe!
